The King's Kids
Our goal is to teach the Bible in an exciting, child-targeted way through drama, music, and other creative means. We want to disciple and nurture the children in an environment where they are known and loved, where they can build a community of trust, and learn to apply the Bible lessons in their own lives.
 

Large Group Program

Sundays at 9:40 and 11:00

   Preschool age: 

 

   Kindergarten thru 5th Grades:

A time to gather together for a story presented through drama or creative storytelling and then music.

A time to praise God together through music and movement.

Small Group Program

Sundays at 9:40 and 11:00

Children participate in fun learning activities that help them relate to the Bible lessons in their lives.  Small groups are set by age for Preschool and by grade beginning in Kindergarten.

 

Getting Started

Fill out a new registration form for your children in "The King's Kids" so that we have all current information on file, then return the form(s) to the Welcome Desk on the 1st floor.  For your convenience the new registration form is located here*.

OPERATION BEAR HUG: Teddy bears for patients at PW Hospital on Valentines Day - bring new bears to sanctuary on Feb 5&12

Tuesday Night Dinner: Feb 7th, 5:30, Ham Steak w/grilled pineapple, roasted red skin potatoes, scalloped corn, cinnamon rolls and cherry cobbler ala mode.
Worship at 6:30

SUPER BOWL PARTY WINGS AND SAUCE from JNS: Pick up your orders on Feb 5th (extra wings will be available)

LENTEN DEVOTIONALS: We are compiling a Lenten Devotional booklet to be shared by both campuses. See details in the worship bulletin

ASH WEDNESDAY SERVICE: Wednesday Feb 22, at noon and 7pm service. Childcare provided at the 7pm worship service only

UMW GENERAL MEETING & BRUNCH: Saturday Feb 4th at 9am. Please, bring a dish to share. All ladies of the church are invited

DC HOMELESS MISSION:  The next trip will be Sunday, February 5th. Departs MST 5:30pm

Potlunk Dinner & Impromptu Talent Show: Sat, Feb 11th, 6:00 pm. Enjoy a meal and fellowship with others. A-M salad/main dish and N-Z side/dessert

2012-2013 Sunbeam Preschool Registration: for church members and regular attendees, Feb. 9-10

MASQUERADE BALL: Feb 25 in the Fellowship Hall. Dinner-6:30pm; Dance-8:00pm, sponsored by the Youth

MISSION OPPORTUNITY COASTAL NORTH CAROLINA SPRING 2012: We are beginning the planning process, tentative dates: April 15-22, contact Cliff Farrar

SIGHT AND SOUND: UMW are sponsoring a trip to Lancaster PA to see Jonah on Sat March 10th. Purchase tickets in the Fellowship Hall

SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS NEEDED: Paid positions needed for Infant Room through Pre-K. Call the Sunbeam Children’s Center

FOOD PANTRY: Donations of any kind (cereal, canned goods, jars of sauce, dried beans, etc.), are always greatly appreciated. Leave items in the Narthex box
